Buyer Evaluations
I bought the Bosu Balance Trainer Home Version from amazon.com on October 14, 2008. It arrived about a week later and I was eager to get started out. I carefully followed the inflation directions and made use of my owner's manual as a guide to decide the appropriate height of the dome. I read the entire manual, watched the DVD and then applied the Bosu for 1 half hour workout. I stored it in a corner of my operate out region (away from direct sunlight as instructed) in my air conditioned apartment.
This morning, two days immediately after my last workout (my initial and only workout) I retrieved my Bosu only to identify that it had come unstuck from the base. The bottom is no longer flat and there is no way I can get the edges back into the space along the rim of the base. It looks like the glue that was employed especially sparingly to adhere the dome to the base did not hold for really lengthy following I inflated it. As indicated by some other customers the pump is especially cheaply constructed and is much less reliable at deflating the Bosu than inflating it.
The notion behind Bosu is incredible and I have employed one repeatedly in the Gym so this difficulty tends to make me think that the producers produced an inferior product for household use because they believed it would not be employed as much. Nevertheless, right after paying practically $100 or a product I really should be in a position to get extra than 1 use out of it.
Like I said, "Buyer Beware". If I had read a review like this one I could have paid additional for the commercial version. I hope this critique saves somebody else from the needless expense and frustration that I have knowledgeable with this item.
I was a small shy about shopping for the lower priced BOSU ($100) rather than the $200 a single but I've been happy with this household version. So far, I cannot tell the difference in between this one and the one particular at the gym (which I assume is the $200 ball). My pump worked terrific, albeit rather loud. Compared to my tremendously frustrating expertise attempting to inflate the "Body Dome" this was a piece of cake!
If you have employed a BOSU and you like them I see no cause not to order this version.
